5 things I do that are frugal and 5 that aren't.

5 things I do that are frugal:

1. I take my lunch to work almost every day. It's been a couple of months since I haven't brought lunch with me. Very frugal, especially since I try to use leftovers.
2. I don't own a car. So I don't have to pay a car payment, insurance, or gas. In fact, using the bus is VERY frugal, since it costs me $0. My work pays for my pass.
3. I don't buy tons of geek gadgets (no matter how badly I want to!).
4. Most of my entertainment is cheap - for instance, the computer actually works out to very little money spent when you consider how many hours of use I get out of it every month.
5. When grocery shopping, I often buy store brand. Unless the name brand is on sale, in which case, I buy that.

5 things I do that aren't frugal:

1. I drink a buttload of soda. It adds up.
2. I eat a lot of candy.
3. This is the worst one: I often cab to work in the morning. It adds up quickly, but I'm not fond of walking a mile and a half at 4 am. Furthermore, because I'm often sick, it is STUPID to walk to work some mornings. (For instance, this past week, I haven't felt bad about cabbing - I'm still recovering from pnuemonia. Walking in the cold weather would be bad and STUPID.)
4. We eat out a lot.
5. Having four pets definitely isn't frugal. But it's worth it.

What about you?
